Yuraygir Track 3 Day Hike

May 3rd - 5th, 2025

3 Day 55km Hike along the Yuraygir Track between Angourie and Wooli on the Northern New South Wales coastline.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Transfer to Angourie via mini bus to start the 14km hike to Lake Arragan. After a short beach walk you'll find yourself high up on the coastal track overlooking the ocean. You enjoy the shade of the inland track before arriving at Lake Arragan where camp will be set up. You'll enjoy dinner by the camp fire before retiring for the night. 

Day 2 will be an early start because the coffee in Brooms Head will be calling. There's a beautiful 4km stretch of beach to walk to enjoy before breakfast at the Brooms Head General Store. It's a great chance for you to support a local business.

After breakfast we'll explore the headland and head off on a solid hike towards Illaroo Camp ground 21km on. More beach hiking and gravel roads to explore today as you find yourself at Sandon River. Here the group will take a boat across the river before setting off again towards Illaroo camp ground along a large sweeping section of beach.

Camp will be set up and anticipating your arrival.  You'll enjoy another dinner around the camp fire in a beautifully protected and private section of the camp ground.

Day 3 starts with a dip in the ocean for those that dare before breakfast at camp.  You'll then head off on the final 16km strecth of coastline towards Wooli.

The hike ends at Wooli. We'll have lunch at the Wooli Wooli Cafe before heading back to the Gold Coast. The plan is to depart Wooli by 2pm having you back on the Gold Coast by 4:30pm.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

• Sleeping bag & Pillow
• Backpack with 2lt water capacity (water will be provided)
  
• Comfy clothes to hike in
  
• Trail shoes or hiking boots (spare socks for each day)
• Warm clothes for camp 
• Hat and sunscreen
