The course winds through the stunning Thimphu Valley, passing forests, rivers, traditional villages and breathtaking Himalayan scenery. Running at approximately 2,300 metres above sea level presents an achievable yet rewarding altitude challenge, making every finish line even more memorable.

Thimphu Tshechu

Following the marathon, you'll experience one of Bhutan's most important and sacred celebrations.

Held at the magnificent Tashichho Dzong, the Thimphu Tshechu brings together thousands of Bhutanese dressed in their finest traditional clothing to celebrate centuries-old Buddhist traditions.

Witness colourful masked dances, ancient ceremonies, local music and vibrant cultural performances in an atmosphere few international visitors ever experience.
