The Annapurna marathon
Held each year to celebrate the first successful ascent of Annapurna I, the Annapurna Marathon is one of Nepal's most unique trail running events.
Beginning at Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), runners descend through glaciers, alpine meadows, rhododendron forests and traditional villages before finishing in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Expect spectacular scenery, challenging trails and an atmosphere unlike any city marathon.
Whether you're chasing a personal challenge or simply want to experience one of the world's most memorable races, this event delivers an adventure that few runners ever experience.
